Soft and Chewy Reese’s Pieces & Chocolate Chip Cookies

Baking season is upon us and I have a great recipe to kick it off with.

If you have a sweet tooth and love for cookies then this recipe is for you.

Some of my favorite candies are Reese’s Pieces, so I decided I would try and bake some cookies with them. But better. How, you ask? Well I got a little crazy and added Reese’s peanut butter chips, Hershey’s chocolate chips, and Reese’s Pieces Candies?!

The result were delicious soft and chewy Reese’s Pieces & Chocolate chip Cookies!

Ingredients:

½  Cup of softened butter or margarine.

½  Cup of sugar.

½  Cup of brown sugar.

½  Cup of peanut butter. (optional)

1 Egg.

½ Teaspoon of vanilla extract.

1 Cup of flour.

½ Teaspoon of baking soda.

¼ Teaspoon of salt.

1 Cup of a mixture of Reese’s Pieces, Chocolate Chips, and Peanut Butter Chips.

Preparation:

Temperature 350, bake time 10-12 minutes. Yields about 15 large cookies.

  • Preheat your oven to 350
  • Combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter(optional), egg, and vanilla in your mixing bowl. Beat until mixture is well combined and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl combine remaining dry ingredients: flour, salt, and baking soda.
  • Add the flour mixture to your butter mixture little by little.
  • Once combined then add your candies.
  • Then place your mixing bowl in the freezer or refrigerator for 5 minutes. This makes it easier to scoop and drop the dough onto your cookie sheet.
  • Drop heaping tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • For bakery style cookies pull dough apart them imperfectly put it back together.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, cool for two minutes then move to cool completely on a cooling rack.

Important Tip!

Take them out of the oven as soon as the edges are golden brown for softer & better results. They might seem super soft, but they will continue to bake with the heat they absorbed after you take them out.

Also, if you want to skip the peanut butter you can! I cooked one batch exactly the same way just without the 1/2 cup of peanut butter and they were still very good and soft!
