Simple ways to celebrate your graduates at home with Cricut
School is out for summer! I have never been this excited for summer break! It is time to celebrate our little graduates! Actually let me change that, it is time to celebrate ALL students! Every student deserves a round of applause for surviving almost two school years of at home learning. And I am super excited to be collaborating with Cricut to celebrate my little learners. We teamed up to share the awesome Cricut creations the Cricut Joy and Easy Press Mini can make! Using the Cricut Joy was simple to use. It really made creating this photo booth a breeze! Here are some simple Cricut graduation ideas you can make for your celebration.
Simple photo booth to celebrate!
We aren’t quite ready to throw a big fancy party here, but we made sure to make our girls feel special in the simplest form. We created a mini photo booth for them! It was the perfect way to capture the end of a very memorable school year to say the least. They were so excited to celebrate the end of at home learning. We had cupcakes topped with my very own Cricut Creations. Oh yea I’m proud of these little cap cupcake toppers, they were my first creation! Then we ended the day with a board game and some videogames. It was so simple, but they loved all the details.
How I used my Cricut Joy to celebrate my girls.
I created photo booth props for the girls to use in their pictures. This project was the most time consuming and I think it only took me about 30 minutes. They were super simple and fun to create. I created cupcake toppers as well, because who doesn’t love a cute cupcake. To top it off I created the cutest graduation cards. The graduation cards were my favorite project. Cricut has so many designs available on the Cricut Design Space App that it was difficult to just pick one, so I made three! Celebrate the parents too.
You didn’t think we missed out on the celebration did you? Oh no. We absolutely joined in on the cupcakes and had some drinks on the side too. Actually, let’s give all the parents, grandparents, big sisters, and brothers who took on a whole new role this last year a round of applause Congratulations to you too! You all made it through one of the most difficult years of our lives. We had to add the role of school facilitator to our already busy schedules. So cheers to us! We made it!
I made us some cute champagne glasses with my cricut joy perfectly personalized for the occasion.
The Cricut Joy was so simple to operate. All the functions and commands are done through an app on your phone and it is so simple. It prompts you when materials or tools need to be swapped out to complete the project.
The Cricut Joy and other products and tools used
So, I used the Cricut Joy Machine along with their Smart products to personalize our Grad Card Box and our Champagne Glasses. Okay, but seriously I love the Smart Vinyl materials. These are so easy to use! Even for a not so crafty mama like me. You don’t even have to use a mat if you don’t want to with these materials. I did anyway out of habit most times, but you don’t have to.
For the cards I tried 3 different styles of their Insert Cards the gray and silver holographic, the glitz and glam, and the charmed sampler pack. For the Charmed Sampler Pack click here . For the Holographic Sample pack click here.
We also made custom t-shirts to gift our girls with the Cricut Easy Press Mini and Smart Iron-On material. It was incredibly easy to apply. Pro-tip if you’re gonna make a shirt, DO NOT FORGET TO MIRROR YOUR DESIGN! I learned the hard way.
All these graduation Cricut Creations were so simple and fun to make. Guess who will be customizing all the things. Yup, this lucky mama! I can’t wait to see what I create for the girl’s back to school materials! I know they just finished school, but this is definitely something worth looking forward to!
Do you have a Cricut? If so? Which one do you have? If you don’t but have questions about the Cricut Joy or the Easy Press Mini let me know in the comments!
