3. Turn up the Heat Next to a Bonfire.

If you have a firepit use it. What is more romantic than drinking wine by the fire. Don’t want to drink as much as I do? Whip up some hot cocoa for you two and cuddle up next to the fire while you watch the flames dance around in the pit. As a matter of fact, take your speaker outside open up Spotify so you can dance around to your favorite love songs. Start with the one for your first dance at your wedding. Or your song, every couple has a song. And if you don’t this is your sign to get one. Ours are odd, it’s Anything by Dramarama & Need You Around by the Smoking Popes.

4. Play a board or card game together.

Get a deck of cards, borrow your kids game of Twister or Uno and play a game. Or if you want to get romantic or really deep into your feelings get yourself a couples game. I’m thinking about ordering this game I saw at Target called Let’ Get Deep. It’s a card game to make conversation and get to know each other better. If you’re both into board games, Wingspan, is a great game to play with just one other person. Don’t forget to pair this activity with your favorite bottle of wine or cocktails maybe even whip up some spinach dip to snack on.

5. Play video games together.

Our generation grew up playing video games, so now as adults many of us enjoy playing video games, but we never have time to play. So why not set up your PS5 or Nintendo Switch, get some drinks, and play a few rounds of Call of Duty or whatever. I’m terrible at it, but it’s fun. I’m more of a Mortal Combat kind of gal’.

6. Movies in bed.

This is about the easiest Valentines date night you can plan. Get into your favorite pajamas and go watch a movie in bed! But, make it special by addings some cute details like pink popcorn, hearts chocolates, or any other Valentine’s themed candy. Add your favorite drinks and violla you have a great date night right in your bedroom.

7. Sunrise Coffee.

A hot cup of coffee or cocoa is one of the most comforting drinks. Wake up before the kids, bundle up, and head outside to enjoy your cup of coffee with your significant other. I don’t know what it is about watching the sun come up, but it brings me so much calm. And don’t sleep on this short date because of how simple this sounds. A hot cup of coffee and good conversation feeds the soul. If you didn’t want to skip the alcohol, make it a Carajillo. A Spanish coffee made up of coffee, sugar, and a splash of rum or brandy.

8. Sleep by the fireplace.

Have a fireplace? Turn that baby on and I’m not just talking about the fireplace. wink, wink. But seriously, bring out some blankets, a mattress topper, and light that fire. Play a game or watch your favorite movie while the warmth of the fire fills the room and the soft crackling echoes in the background. I mean how much more romantic can it get? Very, just pair this activity with some wine, a charcuterie board, or dessert. And there you go. A romantic evening to remember.

9. Take a trip down memory lane.

You can add this to any of the activities listed and neither of you will regret it. Grab your laptop and swipe through all of those old photos and videos. Pull out the photo box from that closet and look through all those beautiful memories you’ve created together. And yes, you guessed it, just add alcohol and you’re in for a good time.

10. Dance the night away.

Put on your dancing shoes you sexy valentine. Dancing is so intimate, and what better place to dance than in your home with your favorite person. Get dressed up like you would to go out dancing. Tune into your favorite playlist on Spotify and dance the night away with your person. If you have a backyard patio, take the romance outside and dance under the moonlight. Don’t forget to prep those dancing skills with your favorite cocktails or wine.
