How to make creamy spinach dip

I love spinach dip. If itโ€™s on the menu I will always order it. So, I just decided I needed to learn how to make this delicious, creamy, cheesy spinach dip. And I am so glad I did! This dish is always a favorite at potlucks and gatherings. I make it for holiday parties with friends every year.

This year, however, will be different for many of us but we can still make delicious foods to enjoy at home.  And this spinach dip is perfect to cozy up on the couch while binge watching holiday movies or football.

It is super simple to make. One way to simplify this dish and many other dishes is to use a garlic press instead of using a knife. I use the gold one pictured below by Zulay Kitchen and I love it. It saves me so much time. Use the code THISLUCKYMAMA10 to save 10% off all products.

Okay, itโ€™s time I share this rich and creamy goodness with you.

This is how you make creamy spinach dip:

Preheat oven to 350ยฐ Prep time: 10-15 minutes Bake time: 45-50 minutes

Ingredients:

4 cloves of garlic, minced or pressed

1 tablespoon of butter

1 ยฝ cups of cooked spinach (about 1 8oz bag if fresh spinach is used)

ยฝ cup Alfredo Sauce (canned or homemade)

4oz cream cheese

ยฝ cup of mozzarella cheese

3 tablespoons of parmesan cheese

Preparation:

  1. Sautรฉ your garlic in 1 tbsp of butter until lightly golden
  2. Place cooked spinach directly over cream cheese while spinach is still hot. Mix them together.
  3. Stir in your garlic and alfredo sauce.
  4. Once combined pour into a shallow baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle your mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly on the top.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes at 350ยฐ
  7. Raise temperature to 425ยฐ
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until light golden brown spots appear. Sides of dish may brown faster, but that is okay.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes and serve with lightly salted/ unsalted chips or crostini.

Full disclosure: I was gifted the Garlic Press from ZULAY KITCHEN. But please know, I would never promote a product or service I wouldn’t genuinely purchase myself.
